ZOMBIE CAGE FIGHTER: TROPHY

Another shirt design commissioned by UFC Fighter Nate "Rock" Quarry for his ZOMBIE CAGE FIGHTER brand. When Nate originally contacted me, he wanted a design similar to by GORILLA GLOVES illustration (which depicts a pair of laceup boxing gloves made out of gorilla hands hanging from a nail). I didn't want to lead off with a design riffing off of one of my own designs, so I steered him in another direction. He held on to this idea, tenaciously, however, so I eventually gave in and gave the poor guy what he wanted! ;)
The shirt is now available for sale at his shop here.

ZOMBAMA'S REVENGE!

Hope? Change? President Obama, are you feeling okay?
This undead president is only interested in eating the flesh of the people! Attach whatever political statement you'd like to this design. All I'm trying to say is that I have fun with ridiculous parodies of self-important "street artists". That's all.

‎"ZOMBAMA'S REVENGE" shirts are now up for preorder at my BeastWreck shop! This will be the FINAL PRINTING of this design, and I will be taking preorders for one week before sending the order to the printers! If you missed out on this shirt in the past, or just want to buy this new, updated version, don't delay!

4-color design soft discharge screenprinted (no thick plastisol) on black Gildan women's Softstyle 4.5 oz 100% ringspun cotton, 1-color BeastWreck logo printed on back.

CHARLIE'S FINAL HUMILIATION

Zombie-Lucy doesn't settle for jerking the football away from poor, gullible Charlie Brown at the last second -- she just jerks his legs off!

This idea popped into my head a couple weeks ago, and I can't even remember what sparked it, but I knew I had to get it finished and out there before someone beat me to the punch. I've had one or two folks comment already about how they wanted Lucy to be more gored-up and decomposed, but in trying to stick as closely as possible to Schultz' style and the old-school traditional zombies (think early Romero) I really think that would needlessly complicate things and futz-up the simplicity of the cartoon.
Anyway, here it is in all its glory. I've submitted it to a couple of shirt-of-the-day sites, so we'll see if anyone's interested in printing it. If not, I might have to do it myself.

ZOMBIE CAGE FIGHTER: ROUND 13

Here's another design I finished up for UFC fighter Nate "Rock" Quarry. He originally just wanted a new zombie head to drop into an already-existing design, but I insisted on redoing the entire design from scratch. I thought it would look awkward and inconsistent to have a BeastPop-style zombie head shoehorned into a design that did not match it stylistically. Anyway, I pitched a tantrum until Nate gave in and decided to trust my vision, and this is the result. I believe he's using it on shirts and stickers as of now. I gave the design two different color treatments: the first reflects the color scheme used in the horror movie poster shirt design I did for him, and the other utilizes the simple two-color bright red and green of the original design.

ZOMBIE CAGE FIGHTER: THE MOVIE!

Recently got commissioned by UFC Fighter extraordinaire Nathan "Rock" Quarry to spice up his already existing ZOMBIE CAGE FIGHTER brand with a couple of designs. This is the first of those. After kicking around a few ideas, we decided to go with an old horror movie poster type design complete with the fighter hero, the beautiful woman and the monstrous menace. I had a lot of fun illustrating the figures and playing around with the halftones and weathering effects on this one -- scuffing up the image and giving it some torn, ragged borders and such (to try and reduce the "big ol' rectangle" feel as much as possible).
Anyway, the design was premiered at the San Diego Comic Con this past weekend, along with a second, simpler design, which I'll post here soon.

ZOMBIE LOVE!

Hey, it's nearly Valentine's Day, which means we're all supposed to celebrate by going out and buying expensive (or expensive-looking) cards, chocolates, stuffed animals, floral arrangements, jewelry and ridiculous lingerie for our significant others/ objects of our lusts/ stalking victims, lest they become offended at our lack of gift-bearing and come to the only obvious conclusion: that we must not really love them after all. Such is the nature of the holiday invented by the greeting card company/ candy manufacturers/ plush beast purveyors.

Final color version chosen

Anywho, I've got a much better method in which one of a particularly geeky or slightly disturbing persuasion can express one's love for another: J!NX's new shirt design, ZOMBIE LOVE (designed by yours truly)! Zombie courtship done the old fashioned way -- two teenage zombies sharing a brainshake at the local malt shop. They're up for sale at this very moment (or in the incredibly near future from J!NX in a variety of sizes for both males and feminales. Celebrate love and death at the same time and give your grandmother yet another reason to cast odd and suspicious glances at you from across the room as she crosses herself.
Yep!
